    Acme 1235 top speed on 08 22Ve

Anyone with similiar hull have data on how changing to the 1235 from a 537 affects your top end?

How fast do you want to go? I can't speak to the top end specifics of your boat but I dropped to a 13.75 pitch prop and loved the change and can still run slalom speeds. I've considered dropping the pitch even more as the improvements were so great on what we do 99% of the time.

You’ll still be able to hit to hit 35 but your RPMs will be topped out. I cruise with my RPMs at 3k and get about 25mph.
The 1235 is a great blend of hole shot and top end with emphasis on hole shot. It’s a massive improvement over the 537 if you’re planning on hauling any kind of weight and want the boat to plane out quickly.

Your top speed goes from 44 to about 41. That being said I rarely ever put my boat flat out. Usually, cruise at 25 maybe 30.

I too rarely run at the top end. My boats GPS verified top end is 41-43mph depending on conditions with a few people. I ask to get an idea how cruising speed might be affected too. I hate to drop the top end under 40 because I like to cruise around 30. With that being said, I do find myself cruising at lower speeds with my Tige than I did with my Regal.

Regarding BCRider's results, that i could definitely live with for the improvements the 1235 would offer.

Sometimes I find myself needing to get from one end of the lake to the other, at those times speed is something to at least consider.

If I knew I would have a comfortable cruise of 25 and a "in a bit of a hurry" cruise speed of 30. I'd be happy with that.

BCRider, does your boat have the same hull design and powerplant as the 2008 22ve?

Sorry for the late reply. I've been on holidays the last couple of weeks so haven't been on here.

Yes, my 2009 has the same running hull as the older models but, if does have a different power plant. I have the PCM 343EX.

                Thanks BC.

What other changes to the boat's handling and other characteristics have you guys seen with the 1235?
