    Rough Idle - Raptor 575

My boat intermittently idles rough once warmed up. On a cold start it idles fine. Once the boat is warm after some surfing it intermittently starts to idle rough and shake. The tach will bounce between 650 and 700. Dealer can't replicate it, no codes, appears to be in spec and otherwise it seems to run OK. I can occasionally smell exhaust (have a FEA) so I'm not sure if it's running rich or just in my head at this point. 240hrs on it so it's along way to go before the suggested plug change. I was going to change them anyway while it was out of the water and at the shop. Any other suggestions or ideas?

    Are you running premium fuel?

New plugs didn’t help. Got a LTFT 1 low limit code while surfing. I have had it last year but it’s very intermittent and goes away on the next start up. Any ideas?

anyone ever have issues with plug wires or the little resistor in the coil?

I did pull a code this weekend while surfing. SPN4237 FMI 1 LTFT 1 low limit. From what I understand it could be an injector stuck open or a bad o2 sensor. Seems like a bad sensor might be the more likely culprit (plus easy enough for me to change)

I had a similar intermittent issue and I found a small crack on the coil pack #5 cylinder where the plug wire slides on.

I replaced the o2 sensor. Have replaced plugs. Still idles rough (only in neutral) which doesn’t make sense to me. Pulled the SPN4237 FMI 1 LTFT 1 low limit code again on the weekend.

any ideas? It’s getting old lol.

There are 4 O2 sensors, which one did you replace?

The one on the manifold on port side. I believe the code is specific to that sensor isn’t it?

Check fuel pressure next. Do it during the fuel pump prime and watch the gauge for it dropping quickly following and then check while running. Since the code is returning, either the incorrect O2 sensor was replaced or there's another problem in the fuel system.
