    Parts location

I have a 2006 Tige 24v with the GM 5.7L 340hp VORTEC engine. We did not winterize the gas the last 2 winters, and drove it only 3 times last season. We think we have gooped up our fuel filter. We did add some stabilizer. After finally getting it started, it runs for a few minutes, then chokes out. I am having trouble finding a manual on it that will show me where the fuel filter and fuel pump is located. I have attached a pic of the engine, also a pic of a pinched line. Could that pinched line be a problem? I know where the fuel/water separator is. If anyone can hit back with location, that would be great.

The fuel filter is located under the rubber exhaust coupler in the right side of the photos. You can just barely see the filter head in the photos. It has a yellow sticker on the top. You will have to remove the port side engine compartment panel and access it from the port side. You will also need a very strong strap wrench or more preferably a chain wrench. If the filter hasn't been removed for a few seasons it can be a bear to remove the canister from the filter head. Some people have had to completely remove the housing and head from the engine, stick it in a vice and use a chain wrench to get it to open.

diesel filters online has the Racor 58011-10 filter you will need for likely the cheapest price. The Marine Power filter is just a "rebrand" of this OE Racor filter.
