OIL - 2006 22ve (MarinePower 5.7L 340hp)

I spoke with MarinePower today about oil recommendations. I've researched a bunch of information on this forum and elsewhere...then decided to go straight to the company.

I have the owners manual and have read through it. It calls for SAE 40. However, MarinePower recommended a different path and a particular brand; Shell Rotella 15w40 (Diesel). The rep told me about the Diesel feature and how it helps clean out the bad stuff that comes with marine use.

Yah, we are running rotella full synthetic in mine in that weight. It’s also way easier to find then a non diesel oil in that weight.
