1999 21V 350 MAG/MPI SKI - What is this Sensor?

Have a 1999 21V and was poking around the engine this weekend and noticed the black wire coming off the sensor(?) shown in the pictures below is off...looks like tab that the wire slides onto broke. This is on the portside. I have looked at some engine diagrams and can't quite figure out what this is? Hoping somebody will know. Engine serial number is 0L300094.

You'll have to dig out the male spade that broke off inside the connector before attaching it to the new switch.

Appreciate it...got one ordered up! Any special stuff you have to put on the threads before installing the new one? Of just unscrew the old one, screw the new one in and re-connect?

It appears there's pipe dope on the threads so grab a small tube of it from the hardware store. Don't use thread tape on anything but water connections.
