    ‘06 24ve alternator pulley

I have quite a bit of belt dust on alternator and in engine compartment. It appears the alternator pulley is a different size(the dividing line btwn the two belts is thicker on alt than all others). You can see in pic the back belt is aligned but front(rear of boat) belt is proud at alternator.
Does anyone know if this is enough to cause this prob?
I also see water pump pulley has rust.
I sanded the crank pulley already. I’ve tried shimming with a washer. I’ve also noticed it’s missing the spacer part #244501 from MP Parts Manual.
Or do I just need to crank down and tighten alt. belt more? No belt squeal just dust...
I’ve had it a year. Using Napa xl 27-7450 belts. Any ideas?

Or if someone could post a pic of their alternator from this similar angle I would appreciate it. Trying to see if maybe this is wrong alternator too.

      Thanks gumby.
The prev owner had the wrong belts on it. They were some sort of heavy duty belts because he broke the oem ones on the water. I cleaned it all up and cross referenced the oem belt to a Napa belt and have those on now. I had hoped that would’ve cured the dust problem but there was dust after a 4hr session. Belts look just fine though.
What you say makes sense. I h e a spare set on boat and will just keep an eye.
I was mostly worried about the intake of the belt dust into engine.
      Thx again.
