I have 2007 tige rz2 with a 5.7 340 engine The boat Randomly loses all thrust when I push down the throttle and even makes a backfire noise from the engine.
I’ve replace the throttle potentiometer but that did not fix the problem but maybe they didn't calibrate is correctly?
I checked to see if it was low pressure fuel pump problem. it was not.
The ECM was reflashed and that didn’t fix the problem.
Two new development
1) the speedometer stoped working. Not sure if it’s related because the problem existing prior to the speedometer not working.
2) believe it or not if I bang near the throttle with my fist sometime I can restore power.
no one can figure out the problem. Any ideas?
