This is probably a stupid question. I have a 2005 22v. I have the three back panels off to get re-upholstered. I just got the boat de-winterized so I want to take it out without the panels covering the motor. This shouldn't be a problem right? Any concerns with operating the boat without the panels on the back?

Main concern don't fall in or drop anything down there.Put your hand on a hot stove for a minute, and it seems like an hour. Sit with a pretty girl for an hour, and it seems like a minute. THAT'S relativity. Albert Einstein

Yep, it was the snakeskin fabric. I was going to just replace it with a different fabric, but the dealership said that Tige improved the snakeskin fabric so I guess I'm going to try it again.
The fabric is around $40 a yard (need two yards to replace the the snake skin on the back 3 panels). The place is charging me $75 a panel. So it comes out to around $300 total.

I wonder what percentage of 2005 and newer Tige's are still experiencing some sort of interior/vinyl issues. I feel bad for all owners that have or had vinyl issues on current model year and older It is kind of sad to see the number of posts on the subject. It is hard to tell if the problem is limited or not
Maybe the Tige rules for guests is to add "In order to not get the seats dirty we have provided you throw cushions so you can sit on the floor". The Management
My 2007 also has an issue and I am waiting for a new rear engine hatch skin due to sewing issues where the fabric is bulged out at the seam. This and wrinkled vinyl in the bow and the rubber seals under the bow seats were all terrible. On the long port side cushion half of the stainless steel staples were improperly stapled. I love the boat but am concerned about the vinyl. IMO it should last 10 or more years with care
I am not trying to be negative here but I am concerned. I bought new so I did not have used boat issues. Is sad about the vinyl concerns and seats. I hope for the 2009 and newer owners that the fixes are permanent and that they finally get it so we don't see posts on late model boats and have to spend money to replace and repair cracks and torn seams.

I did not have any vinyl issues on my 06 22V so I consider myself lucky for the two years that I owned it. I do feel for you guys going through this. What has corporate said that the "REAL" problem is or has been because these are huge to any owner having to deal with them.Formertigeowners.com

I have had no problems on my 05 24v. The issue on the 05's seem to be the snakeskin accent. Mine has the regualr accent. I thought the stitching was going to tear on the piping on the engine cover when I bought the boat. 5 year and it never tore the stiching. My issue is teh vinyl covering the dash on the side. you drop an icechest in the walkway and it has a big tear in it. I learned and that is why now we use a soft sided ice chest from american coolerLet it be!!!
