    belt alignment - black scorpion

The alternator on my black scorpion is a little out of line. The top of the pulley is probably 3 - 5 degrees out - away from the motor. It's causing the belt to disentegrate into a fine powder. I've looked and cannot find anything in the entire mechanism that would allow adjusting. Nothing. Nada. I have to be missing something. Appreciate any advice. Thanks.

A couple things I would inspect as well would be to make sure the crankshaft pulley is not slipping off the hub and make sure the water circulation pump shaft bearings are not warn. If the shaft has play, it will allow the pulley to run at an angle. This would cause the belt to tun off the other pulleys, like the alt.

Welcome to the site. Nice boat and motor combo.
There is a TSB on that somewhere. I'll see if I can locate it?

Not what I was looking for, but it's a start?

        I'll keep looking.
