OK I thought it was fixed but it appears it is not.i just went to the lake yesterday and still doing the same thing. getting hot on idle but now my gauge is working. so i am watching the temp gauge and it will be running at 160 and then just jump up to 220 then just go right back down to 160. it will just keep doing this every 60-90 seconds like clockwork. heat up cool down. i am puzzeled so i get the boat home and i am thinking maybe the shop put in the wrong t-stat or some thing. so i remove the housing and find that the shop put the t-stat under the lower housing instead of on top where it should go. and to add to that the t-stat looks about 2 years old and they did not use any gaskets only rtv sealent and man did they gob on the sealent it was just overflowing the inside and out of the housing. and they wondered were all of this blockage was coming from. i am sure it was peices of rtv coming of now and going into the manifolds. My question for you is do you think the shop should reemburse me for repairs? since they clearly only coused me problems instead of fixing them. also should tige' require its dealers to have certified mechanics working on there boats becouse i dont believe they are. for them to make this mistake is pretty crazy.
just got of the phone with the owner of the shop and he wants me to bring it back so they can fix it would you?
