So I just had my boat winterized...I specifically asked for them to run stabil through the fuel lines...got it home, foled the tower, swim platform off...etc etc..and got it in the garage (which is a feat unto itself). Looked at the work order and of course no stabil...I really don't want to pull it all out again. My garage will get to about -10 or 14 degrees for my american brothers at the coldest (usually not even that). My own fault I guess...Any thoughts....

2 questions - How much fuel is in the tank, and how long will the boat be stored?
Freezing will not be an issue, the Stabil is for slowing the normal progression of fuel going stale and causing deposits in the fuel system - mainly the injectors. In 6-7 months, the fuel will be going stale. This reduce the fuels volatility (potency) but will not begin to "dry up" and leave behind the harmful crystal like deposits. I would go ahead and dump a bottle of Stabil in to the tank, and dont worry. Come Spring, the small amount of fuel in the filter lines will be kinda stale, but the boat should start and run fine. It will only take minutes for fresh treated fuel from the tank to make it's way through the filter and to the engine. Hard call to make the cold weather will not affect the gas. The problem with no stabil will be stale gas and varnishing. Basically,the gas breaks down from fuel to varnish or sheliac per se....it then attacks the plactic and metal in the carb/ fuel system,then it tends to dry up and plug everything up and destroy it....gas starts to turn ,in about 30 days ,so long term fuel storage is an issue....this is why boats have such issues .....they sit for too long,not being used,and the gas turns to crap.... To get stabil to work right you will need to get it in the fuel system by running the motor. Which would mean running the motor and winterizing again.
I would call the dealer that winterized it and make sure it was NOT added, maybe just a mistake on the invoice. If it has not been done do it.

yeah I talked to them...they didn't add it...they got an ear full anyway. The boat will be in storage until late april early may (Till we break out the dry suits ). The boat has about about 12 gallons in it...could I run some injector cleaner in it next spring? It has always had 91-92 octane gas...

about 8 hours...we have PK about 2 hours away...up to 26 feet of snow at the bottom...no Sh@#$t<img src="https://www.tigeowne...g" />...Whistler is great...pretty busy. I am more of a back country guy.
