I installed the navman last season and it worked great as long as I remembered to reset it when I fueled up. Out of the box it was within 2 tenths of what I actually was able to put in when I filled it back up. There is a way to calibrate it and get it exact but I did not mess with it. As far as the accurate consumption while using it. I really did not pay too much attention to that. I usually just watched either what was left or what I used. I highly recommend one of these as it takes all of the guess work out of what is left.

Fuel Flow Gauge

I installed my Nav man at the beginning of last year and my consumption readings have been very accurate.
Having one of these fuel flow meters makes me much more aware of fuel usage for different activities. I could have crunched some numbers and computed the fuel flow but the meter makes it obvious. For example, before I got my nav man I did not realize that it was taking about 4 gallons round trip from my boat dock to the marina to fill up...that's about 10$. I have since invested in some gas cans, which saves not only gas money, but wear and tear on the boat and time.
Tige should offer some kind of fuel flow computer at least as an option.-Tip
