warning sound & low oil pressure??

i have a 2008 22ve with the 5.7. today it started sounding my warning buzzer at different times. it seemed to happen mostly when i slowed down to pick up a rider but it also happened cruising down the lake. i always thought this buzzer was for low oil pressure but i'm not sure. my pressure and temp seems fine and i either have to shut off engine and re-start or if i'm cruising slow down then resume speed???? anybody experienced this?

Did you happen to check the oil level? I believe that engine has 2 oil pressures senders..........one controls the gauge, one controls the buzzer.

Yep, mine does that when it get exactly 1 qt low. You are just low on oil. No biggy. The boat is just letting you know it's thirsty.

My mistake. I received a pm from another guy wanting to know where I got the sending unit for the oil pressure gauge and it sounded like it fit with the problem you are having. I have the 6.0 and I have not had similiar problems, but then I have a 9 quart pan also.

same thing on my 340 mp motor, just a little low on oil, usually noticed it first during abrupt stops. just keep up on the oil level.

Same problem on my 02 22i.................she likes to beep at ya when its about 1/2 quart low, especially if your carrying a lot of riders or ballast and have your nose up in the air.
