In the last week I have had to 08 where the belt has rubbed into the hose. One rubbed through and leaked the other i caught early. This hose runs from the raw water pump to the thermostat housing.I checked a couple 07 we had in for service and they were not as close but it seems to be the same setup.I replaced the hose and it seems all it takes is bending the clamp back that is in the middle of the hose that is designed to hold hose off belts.Im not sure if its an 08 issue or just a freak thing on these 2 boats. So if you guys could check and let me know what you find that would be cool.Sorry i didnt get pics I had to get the boat back ASAP.But i will get some pics tomorrow so you can see what i am talking about.

Question for you, is this hose on the port or starboard side of the crankshaft? I noticed some real faint belt squeal that stopped very fast the other day and took a look and the outer belt is a little looser than the inner. I shut it down to check for uneven wear, rust on the pulleys, and to make sure it wasn't loose enough to fly off, seemed fine but looser. We went ahead and risked it but I did notice on the starboard side the belts seemed to practically rub on a hose or something, couldn't really see but could feel it, I need to get back in there with the side panels out to take a look. I'll probably be calling you-all soon.

If you are talking about the hose that comes off the impeller housing and goes up in between the alternator belts and the block ours is not rubbing.
