rpm gauge issue?

Yesterday on one pull with speed set on, the rpm gauge needle twitched and dropped to zero for the rest of the run. Did not restart engine or turn off speed set. On the next run, the rpm gauge functioned normally.

Anyone every see something similar? Does this suggest an upcoming problem?

That's an odd one I'm guessing the tach signal comes directly from the ECM.

I agree it is weird. When it first stopped I thought it was broken. But then the very next pull, it started back up. At least I will not be surprised when it stops working for good
