I know I do not need my steering cable replaced becuase my steering works fine 90 percent of the time. My steering tightens up when I put the boat in reverse hard and then will stay tight until I either drive the boat fast or move the rutter by hand. I think it might have something to do with the steering cable needing to be tighten down to the boat but I'm not sure on that. The only way I could figure out how to tighten it was near the rudder where a part that has four bolts in it are attached to a ball mount. Does anyone have any ideas as to what my problem is and how to fix it?
