I'm sure it's not the problem, there are a lot of Lake Mead guys on here that don't have any problems with that.
You know how much water is left in the engine water jackets after using the boat. It has to be gallons. I've always worried a larvae would get sucked in there and start reeking havoc inside the engine water jackets. I drain all of my blue water drain plugs after riding at Lake Mead. Just in case.

Doubt there would be enough food or oxygen in the water sitting in the engine unused for that length of time to grow much.
It is a good question, though, if you use it regularly so the water is replaced with fresh often enough, could it cause a problem?

My son went over today to Help Domz with his boat. He got there and I guess Domz had already tore it apart and found a small blockage of some sort of weed. Took it out and when my son got there they fired it up and all was good. It is amazing what a very small blockage will do to a cooling system.

Now I just have to figure out how the water is getting into my boat. I am draining about 5 gallons out of my bilge after 3 hours on the lake. I think my packing is bad. I hope not that is not an easy task on the v-drives. But if it is it is.

I thought you had the PSS dripless seal? You shouldn't have any leakage. Check your ballast system.

Yes but that seal does go bad and they do leak. When I first got my boat I had to adjust it because it was set to loose and it leaked. I am wondering if it has backed off again and is leaking again. I am going to check it out today and then try to get on the lake tonight if I can to see if any water is in the boat again.

Found the LEAK the PSS Is Broken I will call TIGE tomorrow and get one on its way. This sucks I have a major event in two week and need the boat for it. What is up with that. And of course for work I will be out of town the whole time except Saturdays and Sundays and Sundays I wont work on things. They will be broken for sure if I do.

i had a problem that nobody could figure out, i pulled apart the inlet just after the clamshell where it goes in the oil cooler and found a mass of weeds stuck on the screen pulled them off and problem went away 05 24v 6.0

Thank you for sharing this info this is good info to know since I have that same boat. Do you have the PCM or MP engine?

I know mine leaks I can see it leaking water out in my driveway
