    Taps Hydralic Piston Leak

Small amount of fluid seeping down gel coat from taps hydralic piston (see arrow in picture). Concern? Need to fix now, or wait for end of season? The seeping oil is coming from underneath the mount to the boat. Thanks.

I just replaced my cap (the part that bolts to the boat and screws on the cylinder) a few weeks ago. It was really simple.

Personally, I would have it fixed. The oil probably isn't going the environment any good (not that there is a lot being discharged) and the oil could also stick to the boat. Cleaning that would be a PITA.

Dogbert, those definitely look like foam blocks to me. Personally, I don't think I would have put my boat onto them. With the luck I am having, my boat probably would have slid off them by now.

Foam. Searched for a photo I could use. Turns out that photo was took on the day the boat arrived at the dealer from Tige - no trailer yet. That's how the dealer stored it.

^^^ Bennett has always been a stand up company from what I read. I am sure they will do what they can.

I just got off the phone with bennett and they said to fix the leak they are going to send me an o ring and that will fix the problem. They said no need for a new cap.
