I have a problem

light on dash trans oil.stays on all the time oil is fresh and full to proper level on dip stick

Does the panel just have an idiot light or a gauge also?

I would check the wires from the sender. If ok then replace sender. I believe that the light only comes on for high temp.

yes I cleaned the wires I had a felling that the sending unit is bad thanx

Hope thats the problem. Ths sender should't cost that much. Hopefully I can figure out my problem.

It says "Trans" but I believe it is actually for the V-drive fluid pressure. Are you able to check the fluid level with the boat sitting level in the water?

Gotta ask......you are positive this was not a problem before the service and did you use the correct fluid?

One more thing, that light is supposed to be on for RPMs below 1000. Have you checked it at speed?

yes all the fluids were changed I just got the boat this winter.its a good way to get to know your boat.

When we got our boat it was 6 years old and it had sat for 2 years.
The "TRANS" light (V-drive oil pressure indicator) was stuck on all the time, too.
The switch was gummed up inside.
Our V-drive is the Walter Gear Drive RV-26D, Ratio 1.46-1.
It uses a Hobbs Corp. - 76061 pressure sensor, 2 psi, NC.
