Sediment in block

I know when I winterize, sometimes I get a little sediment up in the block that keeps it from wanting to drain right. I get a piece of wire out and scrape the blockage loose. Is there any way to get all that crap cleaned out?

That's the only way I know how...I do it every time I drain the block. I did that on my previous boat also. It doesn't get cold enough here to run anti-freeze through, but you're probably flushing some additional sediment out.
