    More Vinyl Cleaning Questions

My boat seems to have a baker's dozen or so worth of crap spots that Magic Erase won't touch. Some of this appears be "pine pitch" as the previous owner kept the boat in the water under a bunch of pine trees. It's frustrating as overall the vinyl is in great shape. All the spots are small, slightly raised affairs, kinda like dried sap, and seem like they just need something that either has more "solvent" characteristics or a little more grit to lift off. Maybe warmer water would help too?

Apologies if this seems redundant, but what do you guys use for this kind of cleaning when the usual suspects won't get the job done?

    Thanks.

If you think it might be tree sap, then try some Goo-Gone fallowed up with a cleaner and then a conditioner.

For a once a year deep cleaning, i've found that a bucket of warm water, medium brush, and Simple Green works really good. Give the interior a good clean water rinse after, then a good coat of conditioner.

For tough stains, spots, mildew, etc, Dura Gloss 541 Cleaner with Mildew Buster.

The goof off should remove the tree sap.......you might have a permanent stain though from the sap.....maybe........
