    Bunk Carpet???

This weekend noticed that my bunk carpet is not in good shape. What is everyone using. I can find all types online,I am just wondering if one is better then the other. It also looks like I may have to replace some wood also.

    Thanks

You can buy the expensive "Marine Carpet" or I know a few people who use outdoor carpeting for Home Depot or Lowes

I am getting ready to replace my bunks. I bought some treated pine from home depot, and some bunk carpeet from West Marine. It wasn't cheap, but it seemed like the right thing to do. On the bright side, it's pre-cut to 11" wide.

Ditto that, last weekend. It seems much less stout than my old (I assume stock) carpet. Seems to split the weave and go to the backing pretty easily. At $27 per roll I really expected MUCH better quality. Also, they didn't have green...bastards. I also could not find Stainless Steel staples so hopefully rust does not become an issue.
Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

I didn't even think about Stainless Steel staples. I did buy Stainless lag bolts.

I bought mine from Overton's, the pre-cut sure makes it easier and saves time. You have to use stainless staples. I broke down and bought an electric staple gun also. You might want to invest in one, saves your hands. Good luck.

If your trailer is a Dorsey, you can buy the 2x4 and 2x6 supports with the carpet already installed. You just tell them how long you want them to be.

Home Depot has them. Arrow brand, I think they only have them for the T-50.
