IM GOING TO CHANGE MY OIL ON THURSDAY, i have the 5.7L 340hp, gm vortec 07'? and exactly how much, i havent checked the dipdtick length length yet?

If you change the filter use 5 quarts.

i use a syn blend 15w40 (Kendall) and as Lee said 5qts. napa gold oil filter#1069.

If you really, really love your engine, pay the extra $$ and order Amsoil filters. Otherwise, I recommend K&N. The synth blends are a good way to go... Mobile Clean 5000 is a blend and so is Clean 7500 I think.

I am also going to change the oil this weekend... I have a 1999 with the Mercruiser 350 MPI, 315 HP... How much oil and would you guys have the same oil recommendation? Anyone know the filter part number off the top of your head?

OIL ?

I just purchased a new Z1 and the owners manual calls for NO muligrade oils. They say use straight 30W or 40W depending on the temp. Anyone have any thoughts. it's a 5.7 325hp

I have an excel file w/ oils, filters etc w/ p/n's if you need it.
25w40 oil w/ a moisture inhibitor.
