    Cleaning the Vinyl

What do you guys use to clean the vinyl? I would like to find something that doesn't dry it out, and end up cracking it.

    thanks

I found the meguires 40 vinyl cleaner and vinyl brush work very well. It cleans and protects. For a deep cleaner I use meguires all purpose cleaner and then follow up with the 40 to protect it.

I use plain old soap (Palmolive) and water.

I used the 303 after I clean. It helps keep dirt from accummulating. I can buy it at my dealer or my local Boater's world. I think my local West Marine also carries it.

Same here. I use 303 all the time, probably weekly.

Once a year I use what Tige recommended with thier documentation that came with the boat new:

Looks like the new EpHX Vinyl Cleaner replaced the former Vinyl Finish Vinyl Cleaner (which is what I purchased).

I just cleaned all the dirt and mildew this weekend using a Mr Clean magic eraser with 409 and the 303 protectant. Vinyl came out looking great and ready for the season!

Last Fall, for an end-of-season scrubbing, I used Simple Green, a soft to medium brush, and a bucket of warm water. After got done, I remembered we did buy a boat with white vinyl Fallowed up with a soaking of 303.

That's why I went with the mushroom color. If it starts looking dirty, you know it's filthy

I gotta upload my pics with the new Vision Air chair.

The card I got with the boat from the '06 vinyl manufacturer recommended: Vinyl Finish Vinyl Cleaner, Dish Soap, Fantastik, 303. They discouraged use of: Formula 409, Murphy's Oil Soap, Simple Green, Armor All, Son-of-a-Gun, Bleach, Baking Soda, Turtle Wax, Tar Remover.

I have had great results using Mr Clean Magic eraser with fantastic followed by Aerospace 303. The magic eraser cleans deep into the texture of the vinyl. Make sure to use a protectant afterward.

Good idea. I'll try the Mr Clean magic eraser.

Thanks for the advise on the Magic Eraser. I used it today and the stains came right out. That was a good $2 investment. Now I need to get some of the Areospace 303. I would have posted pictures, but I did not know it would work that well so I didn't take any before pictures. Thanks again.
