    Mildeeeeeewwww

So what solutions have you-all found for mildew???
Our boat has been parked for two weeks because we were out of town last weekend and I got in it today and there was mildew all over the white vinyl!!! The gray vinyl was spotless. I have cleaned it with the 3M marine mildew remover, which worked ok. I tried a diluted bleach solution, still only worked ok. I regularly treat the vinyl with 303 protectant to try to keep the mildew off. I think it helps make the mildew more easily removed, but it is still there!!! I also don't use the tight fitting cover because it does not let the boat dry so I just use a huge tarp that covers the tower and all propped up at the ends to allow it to dry. Any help would be appreciated as always.

    Move to a drier climate?

i used 1/4 water 3/4 vinegar to get it off. seems to be a pretty effective and environmentally friendly way. you just spray it on and wipe if off. might take a couple applications and some elbow grease though. double's as water spot remover and after use wipe down too. works great.

Look in the Downloads section on this site and select the Interior section and select Vinyl Cleaning Recommendations. There is a chart about removing stains and mildew is on that list with a cleaner to make from ammonia, hydrogen peroxide and water.
