    Water in Bilge

I have a Pre 2150 1997 Tige here in Bahrain, as its the only one anywhere in the middle east the technical help and maintance is not the best, however its not so bad. I think I know the answer to the question but I'll ask it anyhow.

After running the boat it seam that there is excessive water in the biilge, it doesn;t kick the auto bilge on but after running around for 3 hours or so it is pretty close to it. I am pretty sure its the gland on the propshaft as it doesnt seam to leak as much when its not running.

Anyone who can offer advice or suggestions on checking this or other possible leakage points I would be pleased to hear from.

    Cheers

probably is the prop shaft and yes there is lots of info on the site about adjusting and or replacing the packing material. I would try an adjustment first but read up on how to do it.

The packing material should drip a little bit, but not as much as you're seeing. If you're lucky, you can adjust it. There's a good thread on changing your packing (including the adjustments) here.
