ok so the new boat is beautifull and we love it. the only prob were having is keeping the upholstery cleen. it's alot more poures and thick than are last boat and looks alot better. but every time you touch it it leaves nasty finger prints, even if your hands are pretty cleen. if the water is dirty and you step on it with wet feet it leaves marks. it just seems like you cant touch the stuff. it cleans up easy but after a day on the lake it takes some time to clean everywhere someone has touched.

im using babes seat cleaner and aerospace vynal protectant but it just seems to keep gettin dirty. does anyone els know what im talking about and what to do to maybe seal the vynal a bit better.

and our cover lets alot of road dust in, and also leaves black marks on the gel coat in places, but they come of easy, it just sucks a bit.

Hey, it's all part of boating...you can't keep it showroom clean forever. Just keep up with the little stuff now and it won't turn into big stuff later.

Its going to get dirty no matter how carfeull or how hard you scrub it. Just remember your vinyl is a white couch that sits in the sun, gets stepped on and is constanly wet.

I feel your pain! I have all white with very little grey and some navy highlights because we boat in 110-120 degree weather almost every trip. What I found was that Meguires makes some good cleaning products what work very well. The first is the All Purpose cleaner http://www.meguiars.com/?detailer-en...urpose-Cleaner
use a vinyl brush to clean the surface. The vinyl brush gets down in the porous spaces. Vinyl and Rubber cleaner #40 is what I used next with this product and used the vinyl brush as well. http://www.meguiars.com/?pro-vinyl-r...er-Conditioner

I did not like the 303 protectant it seemed to trap much of the dirt if you don't get it out. I am doing a very good cleaning on the vinyl this weekend and my guess it will take me about 2-3 hours.

thanks coach i'll have to give it a try. im the one who cleans the boat so whatever helps keep it cleen is great. after every time we go out it takes me an hour and a half on all the vynal using what iv'e got(not to mention cleaning the outside and vacuming).

but i really dont mind cleaning it. it's relaxing and i like i like having a clean good lookin boat.

Simple green will also clean it up really good, but make sure you follow it up with a protectant of some kind. I used Simple Green on my last boat about once a month and the interior was all white, the guy who bought the boat couldn't believe that we ever even sat in the seats!

oh yeah simple green gets anything clean. but it a little spilled last year in our old boat and stained the seat a bit. so i scrubbed it with some more simple green and most of it came and a day on the lake sunbleached the rest out. and if you ever get bad tar on your hull it really helps to get it off. but it eats wax

I wouldnt recommend using simple green on your Tige. That is not recommended for vinyl cleaning since it could damage your stiching in the vinyl.

If your going to use a kitchen cleaner use the regular Fantastik.

It's never recommended but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do! Just make sure you don't use a lot and you follow it up with some protectant, I always use the 303 myself.

I should clarify how/why I had to use Simple Green...my daughter spilled one of those red juice box/bottles on the seat and it stained it. I tried the "marine" specific cleaners (Meguiars, 303 and another that were supposed to do the trick) and still had a nice red stain. I called a local upholstery shop and he told me to use simple green and it worked like magic!

i only use it on spots that other stuff wont get, and we've never used babes stuff untill our dealer gave us some and i really like it. it will get most things out. then i like to use aerospace vynal protectant to follow. does anyone else use it??

I'm using Simple Green also as a spot remover when I have a tough stain. It works pretty good.

Out of the 3 boats I have owned, the Tige has been the hardest to keep clean. The upholstery on the 8yr old 4winns looked cleaner when I sold it than the Tige after only 1 season. That it the only thing about the boat that displeases me.

I noticed that Tige uses very soft vinyl compared to other manufacturers. The vinyl on my Rinker was much firmer. Does this vinyl puncture easily?

I already have two cuts in mine. One from a LF Trip wakeboard fin and the other is unknown how it happened. The kids say "I don't know" when asked or I get the deer in the headlight look...... After that, no problems at all as long as everyone is careful.
