Lost the bolt that connects steering cable to rudder

I somehow lost the bolt(cotter pin broke) that connects the steering to the rudder assembly. I spent 2 hours looking for it in the boat yesterday. Any suggestions on where to get one? I understand Tige' will have them but would Home Depot / Lowes carry this. If so, does anyone know the size of bolt I would need?

the newer ones have a bolt and nut not a cotter pin.

Here is what you need.....clevis pin and cotter, 3/8 x 1". Add a washer on each side and your good to go

Lowes, H/D. West Marine, Boaters World etc.

you would want a washer on the clevis pin before you put the cotter pin if you are not going to use a nut, washer and bolt.

I found a clevis pin. I got one with the nut on the end. Thanks!

hahah today i was unscrewing the bolt above the one you lost on my own boat and lost the nut that holds it together. after some digging around i found it but good to know i'm not the only one.
