    Checklist

Hi eveyone, I have recently purchased a 1997 Tige 2150 and having it shipped out to Bahrain in the middle east. The boat was serviced and prepared for the trip as well as shrink wrapped. It will be here on the 17th March. The question I had for anyone out there is, what general maintance and checks should I do before she goes in the water and prior to starting her up. Any information or advice would be great.

Congrats and hope you enjoy the boat.

Here is a link to the "Download" section of the site and a service manual.
I always check the fluid levels, batteries (quick start in driveway) horn, bilge pump, blower, lights, plug, no fuel vapers in bilge. 'bout all i can think of.

Are you going to be using the boat in freshwater or saltwater? I use my boat mostly in saltwater and have done a few things to help combat corrosion. I got an inline flush kit installed and a sea strainer to geep sea grass ans sand out of my impeller. I would also try to find CRC corrosion inhibitor or Boeshield corrosion block to spray on anything that is not stainless to protect the engine.

Here is a link to my flush install thread with some pics.

What engine is in it? I have the same year with a Marine Power small block V8 and it is a full hydraulic roller motor with performer RPM intake.

Mine is very solid, and you will have no problem finding parts for it, and shipping them overseas.

The boat has a flush kit already installed as it was used in saltwater before, I also belive it also has a sea strainer as well. Will take your advise on the inhibitor and get some.
