Fog engine question

So I have my boat winterized right now which includes drained block, drained heater and hoses, added fuel stabilizer and also drained the transmission cooler.

I typically use my boat at least once a month in the winter months but lately the weather has been too cold or raining for me to get out.

I haven't used my boat in about a month so my question is should I fog the engine? I am a little concerned that not using it will cause rust in the engine. Is this something I should do if I don't get a chance to use it in a few weeks or another month?

I have never fogged an engine could somebody elaborate?

Remove the spark plugs and spray fogging oil into the holes. "Bump" the starter to spread the oil on the cylinder walls. Regap or replace plugs, as required, and reinstall.

If you have not started your boat in one month and did not fog the cylinders, your engine is ruined and you will need to purchase a new boat.

What do y'all use for fogging? Not that I would ever have to do it here in Florida, but up in Virginia we used to fog our MC and used CRC 6-56. I still use it on the engine to help keep things looking good.

If you are going to store a boat for 4,5,6 months or so, Fogging is highly recommended. If you will be using it every 4 to 6 weeks, I say you would be ok without it.

I will say though, that in all my years, I have never replaces an engine from "over maintenance"

i never fogged mine before till this year and the only reason was I had no idea how long it would be till I used it due to my move. I wouldn't worry about fogging it if it's only going to be a month or two, but each to his own. It doesn't hurt either.

If you never fogged before, let me worn you about one thing.
When you first start the boat in the spring, it will smoke really bad!
(It is just burning off the fogging oil)

I fog my boat every year. Always run it in the front yard first.
Normally I would run it inside the closer that I made for it, but the first time I fogged it, I smoked myself out.)
