Does anybody know the quantity of fluid between the "add" and "full" lines, on a ZF tranny and Z-drive? I would guess 1 pint? When reading the levels, the dip stick should be fully inserted, but NOT threaded in. Correct?

Tranny holds 2 quarts, drive 1 quart so I’d add small amounts at a time. I would think that the lines between would be 1/2 to 1 quart or so depending on which component you’re talking about. Just add a little at a time and give it a minute or two to settle before measuring. Idealy should be measured while on the water with fluids warm, dipstick inserted but not threaded. Run the boat, shut down, float for 15 minutes and measure them.
