        This is too simple but here goes. I have seen many times that a carburator that is too rich will induce oil burning. the incomplete combustion will allow oil in the cylinder and valve guide oil to escape complete combustion and go out the exhaust. With a fake a lake or Perko fresh water flush you could check all the possibilities before tearing it all down again. I would certainly check the plugs. If they appear very black but not oily, the mixture would be in question. Also manifold leaks will make certain cylinders run lean and you could get a handle on that by looking at them. good luck!
