    Board Rack water spot removal

Anyone have any luck getting spots off the board racks? I have a set that are being stubborn.

I haven't tried it on that finish of aluminum but we use this stuff on pretty much anything metal and its amazing.

If it works or even if it doesn't report back. Since that's the finish on all the new racks.

          Straight white vinegar no good?

I have had some luck with marine formula even though its intended purpose is breaking down 3m 5200. It works really awesome for vertain things. Never dull might be worth a look. Mothers is the go to. Unless you are machine polishing it, a simple aluminum polish with light pressure wont change the finish.

update, i had a few small samples to try. I had a sample of Flitz metal polish, and it did nothing. I also had some IOSSO metal polish and it actually seemed to be working much better, problem is the sample was soo small i couldnt do much. So i ordered a tube of it, and hopefully that will work. I havent tried straight white vinegar yet, you think that could clean it? I did try a all purpose cleaner, and that was a no go also.

Straight white vinegar cuts through some of the gnarliest water spots ever... CLR would work too. Just be careful with it

Got my tube of the iosso metal polish today. Worked great. Ill have to get some straight white vinegar to try next time. Im sure any metal polish would work fine, although the sample of Flitz i had didnt seem to work as good.

For cleaning really bad hard water spots on glass, I have had great luck with the cream formula of Barkeeper's Friend. You can get it at Wal-Mart in the kitchen cleaners. I am not sure about using it on aluminum though. May want to check the bottle first. It cut through spots that vinegar wouldn't touch.
