I am looking for advice on the best boat care products for routine use. And if anyone has any guidance on strategies for mold/mildew prevention in hot humid climates that'd be awesome. Dehumidifier?

I use babes boat products , simply spray and wipe after every use. Super easy , really no need to wash the boat as long as its wiped when pulled out of the water.

Totally awesome in a ten to one mix. Then 303 every 2-3 trips.

Check out hula boat care. I used the wipe out vinyl cleaner after each trip in my old boat and the spray detailer and water spot remover after each trip on the gel coat and it works great. As for the mold and mildew they have a mold and mildew prevention product that i will be trying with my new boat but have heard it works great. If you have problems with spider they also have spider repellent. The guys at hula are awesome as well.

I like Performance Boat Candy Speed Gloss for routine wipe downs http://www.performanceboatcandy.com/. Doesn't streak like some others and seems to shine the boat up better than Hot Sauce. Also has a killer smell, not just vinegaresque. Then for interior I use Boat Bling's Condition Sauce http://www.boatbling.net/shop/condition-sauce. If you wipe down with this regularly your rarely need a cleaner. Most grime just wipes off.

There is a ton of products out there and mixed reviews on all of them. Though the constant (and a user myself) is Totally Awesome Laundry Pre-Wash. Though I would not use every trip as it strips any protection type products you may use off such as Aerospace 303. Personally I use Boat Bling Hot Sauce Water Spot Remover. That being said its basically just white vinegar diluted with some smelly good stuff in it. Their Quickie Sauce is pretty good, but not a fan of their Vinyl Sauce haven't used any of there other products.

My wipe down products are here:
Boat Bling Water Spot Removal for all the Gel Only.
Boat Bling Quickie Wax on heavy Traffic areas and full Boat Wax after 2 trips.
MeGuiars De-greaser (diluted as instructed) on the seats to clean after each trip.
Aerospace 303 to protect the seats after cleaning.
Totally Awesome (either diluted or not depending on what I need to get out)
Glass Cleaner for the windows (non ammonia based)
Mothers Back to Black on the tires.

These are the best boat cleaning products you will find along with all the cleaning tools you will need plus how to videos. https://shurhold.com/ The SMC (serious marine cleaner) and the serious shine quick detailer are the best I have ever used and can be used on any surface. I do like the boat ling hot sauce but their vinyl sauce sucks. 303 is the best protectant out there.

As I've seen threads like this, I'm starting to wonder why the variation and why there's never a clear winner, and relating it to my work life, I think there are just too many variables to actually answer that question.

Just thinking about the vinyl -- how old is it, what brand of material, how has it been maintained in the past? Older vinyl from a period with a mediocre quality supplier that has had a certain chemical may not respond and react well to a different chemical after you buy the boat, for example.

Depending on how you use it -- some find 303 slippery, some not, that has to be a difference in the fabric and application, right?

So I think it comes down to thinking about what you have, how you use it, how dedicated you are to using it, and then test a few different things.

As an example, I started with Hot Sauce, because it works well. However, on my black gel coat, coming out of the water, I was getting smearing. I've switched to Hula Spray Detailer, and not only does it smell better, but I get a slicker feel without streaks. Both are great products, my use case just has a preference for one. Vinyl sauce has been working well, but I want to try an all-in-one for convenience, so giving Hula a chance there. 303 is working great on the bimini and cover, so no plans to change that at all.

To each his own, I think the only universal is to avoid products with volatile petroleum's and use something you like. Just some ramblings after seeing this question again (and asking this myself when I first got into boating).
