    Boat Care Products in Canada

Hey fellow owners... My 2013 Z1 is treating me well, but I can't say I've been doing the same to it. (Unless you count this monstrous carport I built for it)

I've been fairly negligent about cleaning and protecting the various surfaces. Since it is mostly white, it kinda just looks clean and I leave it at that. Recently I'm starting to notice the cover is the first and worst issue. It is dirty and is no longer water proof. Water that used to bead off it just soaks in and largely ends up in the boat. So step 1 is to clean it and re-seal it. Suggestions?

Otherwise, some decent boat wax/polish and vinyl cleaner / treatment is needed for long term health of the boat.

But here is the major issue - I'm in Canada. Most places absolutely rape we Canadians on shipping. (for instance, if the company ships UPS, we are hit with a $50 customs fee which is out and out extortion by UPS). So I want to find a vendor who can ship to Canada, or is already in Canada.

So what do my fellow Canadians do?

Check out Hula Boat Care and see what they have for shipping. I use their gel coat restoration kit and it works great as well as the vinyl cleaner, spray detailer, and water spot remover and all work great. Have also seen that you can go to an auto parts store and find Meguiars marine wax which i have heard works goo too.

      Hey friend,
I don't know where you live exactly. But for myself I'm in Quebec and I use SilverWax product. Always used this brand for my car since several years and loved them. Last summer I realized they had all the marine product too. So I ordered a basic kit wich included a gelcoat scealent, vinyl cleaner, vinyl UV protector, boat wash and quick wax.
Very happy with all the products.

Babes boat care products. Everything you'll need for cheaper than in the states http://www.boatwake.ca/store/p710/BucketOfBabes

For the cover, clean with mild soap and spray with 303. Another great find in Canada. https://m.costco.ca/303®-Outdoor-Fab...100179876.html

Menzerna boat wax once a year also works and they have a Canadian website. I know how you feel about the shipping rates

I'm getting good at this online shopping thing in Canada.

Thanks guys. I did find that Costco deal yesterday. How much of that 303 do you need to treat a full boat cover? In my completely uninformed opinion I would think manual spray bottle would take forever to do it. I'd think a pressurised sprayer would go much faster.

The Boat Babes stuff intrigues me. Good price. Does anyone else have positive reviews on it?

The 303 stuff for the cover takes about 2-3 bottles, so I bought 2 cases and then next time you'll only have to buy one.
The babes is decent, probably not the best for a deep clean. But for the everyday stuff it's great,

Totally Awesome vinyl cleaner can be found at some of the dollar tree's. It's a knock of off Malco vinyl cleaner which I use then follow up with 303.

303 can be found at canadian tire or auto parts places. Lordco here in BC.

I'm fortunate. I still primarily buy a lot of my products out of the US. But I live in Abbotsford so the border is 2 minutes down the road. I can have everything shipped to a shipping depot across the line that I can walk down to a pick things up.

A lot of the other products can usually be found at dealers. I'm sure Seca Marine or others would have Babe's or similar products as well.

I ordered the bucket of babes for $98 with Free shipping. It arrived in a day. Handy that they are located an hour from my house.

I also grabbed two bottles of that 303. I'll have to stretch it.

                  Thanks for the tips!

I use chemical guys products. I've always used their auto products which are hands down some of the best products out there. So I figured why not try their marine line and I won't ever look back.

This is a photo after cleaning earlier today. This is their "quick detailer" followed up with their "hybrid shine." They also have a fabric guard in their product line. I haven't used it so I can't speak for it but it may be worth a shot.

Another +1 on using 303. This product offers UV protection.
