I have a 2000 2300V Limited and i need to replace the hatch lifts that hold up the compartment hatches on the rear deck. does anyone know the correct poundage for those and a good place to get them??
I bought mine on ebay for about $25. I can't remember which shock when to which compartment on my 24V but.... I bought 2 of the "Gas Spring GSNI-5150-60 or LGP6-150-60 Strut Prop Rod RV Camper" and 2 of the "Gas Spring SPD-GSNI-5250-45 or LGP6-185-45 Strut Prop Rod RV Camper Hatch Door".
I think my rear center one was two of the 60 lb ones and the two side ones were 1 of the 45 lbs ones. I have no idea if the 2300V used the same parts though. I think I was able to pull the part numbers off the old ones.

What boat do you have?
Our 2000 21V came with the following gas springs with end style EF-PS30B1:
engine cover - SPD-GS-6984 (SPD-GSNI-5150-60), 15” x 9” x 6”, 6mm x 15mm
storage lockers - SPD-GSNI-5250-60, 18.5" x 11" x 7.5”, 6mm x 15mm
dash compartment - SPD-GSNI-5200-40, 17” x 10” x 7”, 6mm x 15mm
The original no.s from the springs are GS and are now GSNI for the new black nitride shaft series.
Here's a table of what SPD carries: http://www.spdhardware.com/catalog/l...52741324413%7D
The engine cover gas spring was a Tige custom ordered version, but the 5150-60 is close.
The mounting brackets are extra.

I just replaced mine on my 2001 2100v and I used the above quoted post as a guideline. Although my existing side hatches were 90lb so I ordered the SPD-GSNI-2250-90. This ebay link has a chart that should be all the info you'll need.
