I've got a Marine Power 5.7L 340hp engine. It looks like I've got a Delphi 296 CAV fuel filter. Does anyone know how often it needs to be changed? Do I just need to empty the glass bowl at the bottom or do I need to change the cylinder with the Delphi 296 on it? It is above the fuel tank so I assume that fuel wont continue to come out once I remove the glass bowl/cylinder - is that right?
When I change the bowl - will I need to add fuel into the bowl or do anything else to prime it?
Any tips on how to change it are greatly appreciated
