    Extreme Trailer

How often do the bearings need to be repacked. My trailer has the bearing buddy's on them but I don't want to have a problem.

I think they told me once a year or once a season.

If you can press the spring inward then you do not need to add any grease. If the spring is all the way extended then add enough greese to compress the spring slightly.

Re-packing is different from adding grease, right???

I check the bearing spring tension every time I take a long trip (4 or 5 times a year). I usually end up adding a little grease to at least 1 or 2 of the 4 bearings.

The trailer is an 02 that I've had since 04. As far as I know they are the original bearings and so far so good with only the "triply" checks (no re-pack).

How long until a re-pack job is needed if I regulary add grease?

As long as you keep it greased up, I think you're good. I'd have them inspected once a year.

I think Dog is trying to say, he pays someone else to do his wheel bearing chores. If he did them himself, he might break one of the manicured nails on his hands.
