    Trans Oil?

    Hi guys,

    I just bought Lucas Marine 20W-50 for the engine

    and then for the Transmission I got the Lucas ATF.

    Does anyone else use this trans oil? Looks like it is pretty good and I know my trans takes ATF.

    Just looking for some form of validation.

    IIRC, yours is a Borg Warner and they all require Dexron III or higher.

    Heres the TDS for the Lucas. Read it and see how you interpret it.

      Thanks Chpthril,

      Looks like I will be returning it. At the bottom it says not to use in Dexron II,III,or VI transmitions.

      Any recomendations that I could find at Napa or Auto Zone?

        At any auto parts store the shelves are littered with various brands that are Dex III, it is very easy to find, Here is what I use

              Ok so I got the trans oil but one thing that I somewhat overlooked was the Oil Filter. Not sure what filter I should buy and dont have the boat with me to just look at it. (planning on doing everything this saturday in the storage unit) I know that I have a 350 Merch MPI and the serial number is 0L677688 but cant find what I'm looking for.
