No, regular threads just like an oil filter. King Kong may have installed it though.

Get some PB Blaster from the auto parts store and spray that around the threads. It has magnetic properties so it works its way into them. If it doesn't work, you're only out $5.

finaly got it off i had to remove the whole assembly and put it in a vice and spray it with liquid wrench. its a pcm 330
