    Dirty Hull

I'm nor sure what I got into last year, but I have what can only be described as dirt stuck in the sides of the boat. My hull is while and it looks like total crap. She never sits in the water longer than 8 hours, but whatever it is had long enough to get into the gelcoat really good.

I tried a few cleaners and even some cleaner wax in one small part. No luck

I usually just go to the carwash in the spring, soap it up and rinse, and its good to go. What do I need to do this year?

Try an acid based cleaner, check with any local marine dealer, they'll hook you up with the right stuff to get this dirt staining off. Be careful though it's wicked stuff you'll definately need goggles and plastic gloves, but it works wonders!

Got it. Thanks. I'll try toilet bowl cleaner or muratic acid (have worked with it before). Then follow it up with some Starbright.

I can get you the starbrite hull cleaner and have it shipped to your front door. That stuff works pretty good. Their is a few other things you can do to prevent that from happening.

Be sure and use the Starbrite polish with Teflon or it will be right back. Glad it worked for you!
