I just bought a DD and I can attest that V-drives do hold more value. Luckily for me, I wanted a DD. On a 20ft boat, the V-drive seemed to put the passengers on top of eachother. In my DD we are all stretched out and have plenty of room. I also love to ski and my Switch I has a nice slalom wake.

That being said, I just got into wakesurfing and could use a much bigger wake. I am going to throw some ballast in my massive storage compartment to help things a little.

Why are you so preferential to the V-drive? I can think of two reasons, seating and wake generation. One or both of those, or something else?
Yes the DD is easier to service.
But the V-drive has a lot more room in the boat for moving around. It’s a pain to walk around the engine with people in the boat. .
I love the floor space on V-Drive
Tige, it's a way of life!
