Anyone have problems with their fly by wire throttle?

I have a 2006 22ve with the 340hp MPI engine, and I am having an intermittent problem with my throttle. Occasionally when Shift it into gear, forward or reverse, i will not be able to increase the throttle past idle, no matter how far I advance the handle. the only way I can get it to reset is to shut the engine off and restart it.

The problem started out only happening once or twice per time I took the boat out for a couple hours, but now it is happening almost constantly as soon as the engine is hot. anyone know how to troubleshoot this?

Does your 22Ve have the Tige EIDB dual battery setup? If so, have both batteries charged and tested, then replace the battery wing-nuts with ny-lock nuts. This should cure it.

I had the same exact problem. Ended up having to replace the throttle assembly. Check all wire connections, loose grounds, positive wires. Everything.....The assembly is easy to replace but wasnt cheap
---v^---v^---v^_____---v^---v^ For a second there. I was bored to death!!

        Fixed! (hopefully)

        Hey thanks guys,

I did have a loose battery connection, but tightening them didnt seem to fix anything at first. Then I checked the plug on the throttle handle assembly. Disconnected it, checked for corrosion(there was none), made sure that all the linkage was working properly, and reconnected it. I also discovered that one of the wires on the throttle harness had been butt-spliced, so I re-crimped that. The throttle worked flawlessly for about 4 hours of wakeboarding, wakesurfing, and cruising. So Hopefully I fixed the problem.
        Thanks again
        Carl

If you have the dual batteries and the boat hasnt already been rewired to correct this problem eventually you will need to.
The tac modual is wired to the accessrie battery and the engine ecm is wired to the engine battery in stock form, any varyation in the 2 batterys power and the boat codes 81 and goes to limp mode.
Tac module needs to be powered off of engine computor power relay so that both computors have same voltage.
Also if any one ever has the pps sensor go bad on throttle you dont have to change the shifter, the sensor is the same one used on PCM engine that you can buy sepperately.

I have a 2008 Tige Z1 that is doing same thing. Can you advise where to buy PCM parts and what the part # and cost would be
