New owner of an old boat here. I am a first time boat owner and basically know nothing haha, but I am a quick study. I noticed there are two 3" ducts on my 2004 20V Switch coming from the top of the center console down to under the floor, one on each side, so on the driver's side and another on the passenger's side. There are air intake vents that will intake air when the boat is underway, no fan or anything in them, these are just openings that will allow air to come rushing in and down through the vents to under the boat when it is moving at speed through the air. When I bought the boat, the plastic flex duct tubbing in both lockers was old and crusty and had come detached from the floor, so I replaced both of them. However, I noticed that where the duct work terminates into the floor of the boat as seen in the red box in the pictures I attached, the duct does not attach to anything. It simply terminates into an open hole in the bottom of the floor of the boat. Is this how it is suppose to be? Or is there more duct work missing that it should terminate into under the boat to carry the fresh air back to the engine compartment? I do not know if these vents are meant to carry fresh air all the way back to the engine or just terminate right there at the floor and thus only carry fresh air to that point which is just before the fuel tank I believe.
On another note (maybe I should make another thread - but I will try just combining these), the first picture shows a clear plastic tube with is suppose to be a drain coming from the glove box, but it is broken off. Does anyone know what part I need to get to replace this drain and how to replace it? It's broken at the base where it glues into the glove box.
