    Transducer Mount

TigeMD.. I have not been on this forum for a while, but I'm back. I have been reading things you have been saying, and you are quite knowledgeable. I have a 2003 20i, with the rear mounted transducer/paddlewheel. This is held to the hull by a “U” shaped piece of plastic. Somehow mine bumped into something, and broke. (The “U” shaped piece) I went to my dealer, and he said the only way to replace it, is to buy a whole new transducer piece. (About $800) I was wondering if you know of a better way. I went to a local plastic store, and bought some plastic, but I don’t know if I will be able to get the right shape. I just bought the plastic last night, and haven’t tried yet. Any help will be appreciated. Also, I was thinking of purchasing PP. Doing that, will I be able to just mount the transducer somewhere else?

    Thanks.

PP uses its own paddle wheel pickup. Mine is located ahead of the raw water intake grate on the driver's side of the hull.

"x" i have a mount in my tool box. give me your address and i'll send it to you for alot less than $800
also, the pp does use its own paddle wheel that is mounted through the bottom of the boat.

      call me about the bracket

Switchme.... Ok... But what about the transducer? Do I use the same one? If so, then I'm going to have to figure out how to get this one fixed no matter what right? I'm just not looking forward to making this piece. Thanks for the 411 though.

MD... That is fine. ... You don't know how "excellent" it is, that you have it at all. ... My thing works now, just sometimes it gets a hair up it's BU** to not play. Thanks again for all your help.
