    Draining a 5.7L EFI on 2008 22Ve

My family has a 2008 Tige 22ve and I want to use it over the winter. I have drained an engine before and I'm pretty confident about the drain plugs on the exhaust manifolds and disconnecting the hoses. The only thing I'm unsure of are the two plugs on the block that have engine knock sensors running through them. The manual says to torque them down to 22 ft-lbs when I'm putting them back, but how much torque can I use when taking them out? I also want to make sure that what I'm looking at are actually the drain plugs with knock sensors. If anyone has picture that would be very helpful. Also, any other conserns that I should be worried about. The boat has been professionally winterized. So all maintenance issues are taken care of. Thank you for any advice yall could give.

Unplug the sensors and remove the top bolt to remove the sensor. Then remove the part that is screwed into the block.

I use a 1/2" socket on a 1/4" ratchet to pull the Knock sensor off, then use a 6" crescent wrench to pull the drain plug.

Thanks for the help. Thats exactly what I was looking for. Sounds like I don't need a torque wrench. Was I over thinking it?
