Running a V-drive on the hose?

I need to be able to run our 2001 2300V on a hose. V-drive boat.
What product do you guys recommend?

Obviously I won't be putting it in gear, but I need to have it idle.

    fake-a-lake - http://www.skidim.com/prodinfo.asp?number=FAK01

They work pretty well, just make sure you get a good seal around your intake on the bottom of your boat.

You can also make your own using a plunger and a garden hose attachment for less than $10. That's what I did and it works like a champ.

If you need to do this now and now time to order or make a F-a-L, then just pull the raw water hose off the scoop and shove the garden hose in and turn it on.

Thanks, Guys. Ideally, I'd like to be able to do it w/o disassembling the floor.

Sounds like the fake-a-lake is your answer then.

fake-a-lake works for me.. Don't put it in drive, just for warming the motor up and flushing motor..

If you go with the fake a lake be careful getting in and out of the boat while its running and try not to move around to much in the boat. I have had them slip off while the boat is on and if you dont catch it in time you will toast your impeller. they work just watch them close.
