    Which Wax/Cleaners for Oxidation?

First, let me say that Tigeowners.com is head and shoulders above what's out there for Ski Nautique owners.

I just picked up a 1992 Nautique for a song, now I'm giving her a facelift, refinish the teak deck, and send her on her way to find a new home.

The boat has a fair amount of oxidation. Which cleaners/wax do you ladies recommend? I've read lots of good things about Meguiars Flagship, but does it do the trick with oxidation?

First, remove the waterspots and extra calcification on the hull using something like Babe's Spot solver or even some hull cleaner (wear gloves). Then buff it out with a polishing compound that removes oxidation (3M makes a good one). Finish with Flitz polish and lots of Babe's Boat Bright.

SPBFAN may be able to give you some additional pointers.

Alternatively, you could wetsand the colored areas of your gelcoat to restore the color and then polish.

Meguiars Flagship won't work on the oxidation. You need something with abrasives in it.

      Try this thread. http://tigeowners.com/forum/showthre...light=wet+sand
