I have a couple of light scratches on my gel coat (not deep enough where I would have to fill it) and I am wondering if I need to get a polisher type compound to get them out.
Ive read some interesting and informative posts but most describe them in sequence of steps..ex do this, then this, then this, then it should be all good. I am looking for a bit more clarity.
If I apply some polishing compound...do I just wheel it till its gone and apply more. If the scratch isnt gone by the time the compound is, does that mean I should go with a more abbrasive compound?
Okay...say the polish got the scratch out...is it time to wax? and if so..do you just keep waxing and waxing until the shine and luster comes back?
The amount of pressure (elbow grease) and duration of application is left out on the other posts.
