Hey Spharis... have you thought about possibly yanking the old carpet, and having the deck sprayed w/ a white, or whatever color your boat is, bed liner. I.E. Line-X, or other brand of choice. Then placing the snap in carpet over this? I would think it would work great. And less likely to bust your ARSE on if it's wet. Just an idea
